DTU Youth Union Congress Celebration

On April 28, three hundred delegates attended the Youth Union Congress at DTU, to elect members of the executive board for the sixth term following the campaign “All for DTU students’ rights and future careers”. Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Danang Youth Union, attended the ceremony.

After a secret ballot, twenty-seven members were elected for the period 2012-2017, with over a 75% majority. Eight members were selected to represent DTU in the Danang Youth Union Congress in August, 2012.

Mr. Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman and Rector said: “Thirty years ago, it was difficult for us to hold any activities for Youth Union members. However, with the will to fight the enemy to protect our country, we all held strong. I hope that the new DTU generation will inherit the spirit of their elders to be study harder to help in the development of our country”.

With its remarkable efforts over the past seventeen years, the DTU Youth Union has received compliments and feedback. Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet congratulated DTU for providing such significant student opportunities, which have contributed to the development of DTU’s local volunteer and charity activities.
