The DTU Youth Union, in conjunction with Danang Youth Association and Danang Hospital held a Blood Donation Day on March 28th. This is a regular event that usually attracts most of the DTU faculty, staff and students. However, this time, with over one thousand donors, the event proved to be the biggest so far.

This was the first time that many DTU students had participated in such a worthwhile cause. Ms. Nguyen Le Nhat Thao from K15 KKT5 said that she always felt very comfortable donating blood. Mr. Pham Anh Dung, a student from K15EVT added: “This is my third donation and it makes me very happy to know that I can contribute a little something to help others”.
Also donating blood for the first time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy from K16KKT5 was slightly weary but she during our interview. “Although it was slightly painful, I am very happy to donate my blood to the community”, she said.
429 units of blood were collected and sent to patients at the Danang Hospital. A DTU Blood Donation Day is held three times a year and demonstrates their sense of responsibility of DTU’s younger generation to their local community.
