Ms.Mai Anh, a student of the DTU Foreign Language Department, won First Prize in the DUE English Idol competition, held on the evening of 27th November, in collaboration with the Danang University of Economics and the Australia-Saigon English Center.
Mai Anh wins First Prize in the DUE English Idol Contest
“DUE English Idol” was open to students from all universities and colleges in Danang. The first round was held at the beginning of November and the final round took place at the same time as the “I Love English” contest. Participants were required to exhibit a strong knowledge of English, combined with good singing talent.
Mai Anh performed the song “The One” beautifully, winning first prize. “I felt a little nervous in the final round. However, thanks to the cheering of DTU students, I got my confidence back and performed well. Actually, winning the contest was a big surprise for me”, said Mai Anh.
Mai Anh is a keen member of the DTU Forum and, by winning the contest, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Australia-Saigon English Center.
