On October 30th 2010, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants of DTU (ACCA-DTU) held a small seminar to introduce the International Auditing Organization and the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) program at DTU.
Attending at the seminar were Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU’s Vice Rector, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Deputy Dean of the Department of Accounting, Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Tien, Director of the DTU ACCA Center, all the accounting lecturers and students.

At the seminar, Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Tien briefly introduced the ACCA training programs and their benefits . Currently, the ACCA Center at DTU is offering training programs at the primary, intermediate and advanced levels. The CAT program is an integrated program which consists of two subjects at the primary level, two at the intermediate level and five at the advanced level, with a duration of fourteen months. Students will be taught accounting and auditing according to international standards. They can also enhance their English skills in preparation for working in a foreign company. In addition to that, after finishing the CAT program, they will have the opportunity to continue their studies under the standards of the Oxford Brookes University, through the DTU on-site study program.
ACCA was founded in 1994. It is the largest professional accounting association, enabling the development of more than 325,000 college students and 122,000 other members in 170 countries around the world. In Vietnam, there are two representative offices and over 5,000 students and 400 others. DTU is the only ACCA representative in Central of Vietnam.
