Exploring Career Opportunities at LG EDV Danang and 2026 LG Dream Code Contest

On the morning of April 1, 2026, the School of Computer Science & AI (SCA) and the International School of Duy Tan University (DTU) joined hands with LG Electronics (through LG EDV Danang) to hold a seminar on career opportunities and to officially launch the annual LG Dream Code programming contest. The event attracted a large number of IT students and facilitated connection between the university and a world-leading technology company.

During the seminar, DTU students received the latest updates on the working environment at LG EDV Danang and could learn more about potential job positions, required skills, and career development pathways for tech engineers in the global digital transformation. Representatives of the company provided practical insights, which will help the students better define their post-graduation career paths and proactively equip themselves with the knowledge and skills that are in demand.

A highlight of the event was the introduction and kickoff of the 2026 LG Dream Code programming contest, a prestigious platform for tech talent nationwide. The competition focuses on algorithms and data structures, and problems are designed by the experts at LG. It promises highly practical challenges that require sharp logical thinking.

Accepted programming languages include C, C++, Python, and Java, reflecting current development trends in the IT sector.

The contest is open to graduates from 2024 and 2025, and to students expected to graduate in 2026 (excluding LG employees). There will be two rounds: an online preliminary round on May 9, 2026, and an in-person final round on May 23, 2026, in Hanoi and Danang. Registration is open from April 1 through April 27, 2026.

With a total prize pool of up to 500 million VND, LG Dream Code 2026 offers a range of attractive rewards: cash prizes, scholarships, and valuable gifts. The prize structure for each competition region is as follows:

-    one first prize of 30 million VND,
-    two second prizes of 15 million VND each, and

Beyond being an academic competition, LG Dream Code 2026 also opens up attractive professional opportunities for participants. Specifically, the top-thirty contestants will be invited for in-person interviews with LG technology experts, which gives them a shot at becoming official employees at LG Electronics R&D Vietnam. Promising candidates may also receive LG Track scholarships or a sign-on bonus of up to 20 million VND per person.

Through this event, DTU continued to affirm its practice-oriented training approach and strengthened partnerships with industry to enhance the quality of the IT workforce. LG EDV Danang from its side demonstrated its strong commitment to identifying, nurturing, and attracting young tech talent in Vietnam.
