On the morning of May 8, 2026, the National Foundation for Science & Technology Development (NAFOSTED) held a scientific workshop at DTU with numerous administrators, scientists, experts, and professionals in science & technology. The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share practical experiences, and propose solutions to improve management efficiency in today’s accelerating digital transformation.

The workshop focused on two key topics: “Current situation and solutions for improving and streamlining professional processes in handling administrative procedures at NAFOSTED” and “Current situation and solutions for accelerating the implementation of digital government and fully online public services at NAFOSTED”. These topics are practical and aligned with the need to reform management methods, improve service quality, and enhance transparency in science & technology activities.

At the workshop, Mr Nguyen Minh Quan from the Applied Research Management Department gave a talk with the title “Regulations on the management of science & technology projects funded or commissioned by NAFOSTED”. His presentation focused on analyzing management, submission, and evaluation procedures, and he proposed solutions to improve the efficiency of administrative processes and create more favorable conditions for scientists in their research.

Mr Hoang Duc Manh, Deputy Head of the Fundamental Research Management Department, talked about “Activities for the enhancement of the national science & technology capacity”. He summarized notable achievements in supporting scientific research, developing human resources, and promoting academic collaboration. He emphasized the role of the digital transformation in improving management efficiency and connecting the scientific community.

At the lively discussion session, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr Dao Ngoc Chien, Director of the NAFOSTED Executive Office, administrators and experts gave many practical opinions regarding mechanisms and policies supporting science & technology, procedures for foreign scientists, and solutions that promote digital transformation and improve management efficiency in the current period.

Besides providing clearer insight into the requirements of administrative reform and digital transformation, the workshop also introduced many practical solutions to enhance the operational effectiveness of NAFOSTED in the years ahead.
