On April 15, 2026, at the headquarters of UBTECH Robotics (China), DTU officially signed a tripartite Strategic Cooperation Memorandum with UBTECH Robotics and IPP Technology and Education Co., Ltd. (IPPTech) to develop training programs, transfer technology, and establish a modern AI Center in Central Vietnam.

Strategic “Three - legged stool” cooperation model 

This partnership establishes a strategic framework that leverages the strengths of each party to achieve breakthroughs in high-quality human resource development:

• UBTECH Robotics (China): A global leader in humanoid robotics and intelligent education solutions. UBTECH is responsible for transferring educational solution packages, robotics training expertise, system architecture frameworks, and advanced technical documentation.
• IPP Group (IPPTech): Serves as a hardware distribution and implementation partner in Vietnam. IPPTech is responsible for providing educational robot systems, smart classroom equipment, technical support, and project operation coordination.
• Duy Tan University (DTU): Plays a key role in academic activities. DTU is responsible for developing and enhancing curricula, compiling learning materials, developing core faculty members, and organizing training programs ranging from full-time to short-term courses that are aligned with the needs of the Vietnamese labor market.
 

Establishment of an AI center at DTU 

A key highlight of the agreement is the commitment between DTU and IPPTech to jointly establish an AI Center at DTU. The project will be implemented based on collaboration among the three parties:

• DTU provides facilities, academic resources, expert faculty, institutional branding, and supporting infrastructure.
• IPPTech contributes hardware systems, implementation resources, and operational support.
• UBTECH serves as the technology transfer partner and technical advisor for the Center.

The AI Center will host applied research activities, hands-on AI and robotics training, technology demonstrations, and serve as an important bridge between academia and industry.

DTU and IPPTech have committed to collaborating on the establishment of an AI Center at DTU

This collaboration with leading partners such as UBTECH and IPPTech not only provides DTU students with access to the world’s most advanced robotics technologies but also reinforces the university’s pioneering role in digital transformation in education. DTU is committed to developing practice-oriented training programs that enable students to master AI and robotics technologies upon graduation.

In addition to training, the parties have also agreed to jointly organize international conferences, robotics competitions, hackathons, and to build an ecosystem connecting academia, industry, and government.

This signing event marks a new milestone for Duy Tan University in its internationalization strategy and in realizing its goal of becoming a key regional hub for AI talent development.
