Appalachian State University Visits DTU

On the 13th June 2013, Professor Lori Stewart Gonzalez, Appalachian State University Provost, and Professor Jesse Lutabingwa, Vice-Provost, paid a visit to DTU. Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co - DTU Provost and President, Mrs. Le Nguyen Tue Hang - DTU Vice-Provost and Chief Overseas Representative - together with lecturers of the DTU International School gave them a warm welcome. 
 
The meeting between DTU and Appalachian University leaders

During the meeting, DTU and Appalachian University agreed on a collaboration to offer PhD programs. Professor Lutabingwa said: “I am delighted to know that DTU has become the first university to be approved by the MOET to offer a PhD program in Business Administration. This demonstrates that DTU is on its way to becoming a renowned university. We expect to accelerate our partnership by exchanging postgraduates."

Both parties also agreed to implement a new Video Conferencing system. “This advanced study method provides students  a great opportunity not only to learn about foreign culture but also to get to know each other. We hope that the implementation of this system will help students of DTU and Appalachian State University to share their lives and experiences”, said Professor Gonzalez.

On behalf of DTU, Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co presented gifts and had photos taken with the delegation from Appalachian State. “It is our pleasure to widen our relationship with Appalachian State. We hope it will grow in the future”, said Mrs. Le Nguyen Tue Hang at the end of the meeting.

The 2 plus 2 program between DTU and Appalachian State University has operated successfully since 2012. Many DTU students have gone to America to study and experience life there.
