Appreciating her parents’ hard work

Mi Sa’s mother works as a nurse at the Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital emergency department. Day and night, her life is dedicated to caring for the sick, and Mi Sa has always been aware of how hard her mother works. Her father is a farmer and, as the eldest child, Mi Sa always sets a fine example for her younger brother, always does her best in her studies, and hopes to find an excellent job in the future to support her parents.

In addition to her household chores and work in the fields with her father, Mi Sa has devoted the rest of her time to her studies and has always been among the best literature students at her N’Trang Long ethnic boarding high school. Literature is Mi Sa’s favorite subject, but she is equally good in history and geography, scoring at least 9 points in all three subjects, with an overall total of 28.25/30.

“I prefer to use analytic thinking when studying history, rather than memorizing events, and systematic memorization for geography,” explained Mi Sa. “Literature is emotional, so I always put myself in the position of the characters to understand their situations and analyze in depth the real meaning of literary works. It’s bad to review a book only once and not look back until exam time, because the knowledge then has fallen by the wayside. Much effort is needed to understand literature and regular reviews aid retention. When I prepare for exams, I focus on solving the online examples and explore the best ways to score the highest grades.”

Fan of beauty queen Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien

“I’m a big fan of Miss Grand International, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien,” said Mi Sa. “She’s the role model for my future and I regularly follow her activities. Her philanthropy in Africa and her help to disadvantaged people touch me deeply and I’m also very impressed with her communication skills and her self-confidence in achieving her objectives.

Choosing DTU for its dynamic and modern educational environment

Mi Sa is a dynamic young woman who chose to study Public Relations to broaden her experience. “Public relations is now becoming an attractive major,” she said. “To work in this profession however, you must first overcome yourself. You must study hard, learn, and sharpen your soft and foreign-language skills to confidently communicate with the general public. This requires selecting a university with a dynamic, modern, and creative environment, to optimize your individual strengths and learn from lecturers and classmates. Other DTU scholarship winners told me about the university and I decided to take the next steps of my journey there.”

Throughout high school, Mi Sa’s parents have always encouraged her. These days, at their little house in the forested mountains of the Central Highlands, joy and expectation fill the room as they offer advice to Mi Sa prior to departure for Danang.
