On November 2nd 2010, an agreement was signed by DTU and the Workwest Company. Attendees included Ms. Dang Thi Mai Huong, Manager of the Workwest Company, Mr. Pierre Andre Rheault, Workwest’s Vice Manager, and DTU Rectors, lecturers and students.

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Vice Rector of DTU, signed an agreement with Workwest Company representatives. DTU is honored to become its only partner in Central Vietnam to offer USA internship programs for students in Danang. There are two internship programs for students to choose from. The “Work and Travel” program is for 1st-4th year students and the “Internship and Training” program is for final-year students studying Tourism & Hospitality. The sponsors in the USA will help them to find accommodation and part time jobs at resorts, restaurants and hotels. They will earn about $7-10 per hour and have one month to travel around the USA after they finish their internships.
The Workwest Company is promoting the “Work and Travel in the USA” program for Vietnamese students. This program is part of the J-1 culture exchange program, under the supervision of the US State Department. The partnership between DTU and the Workwest Company will open up new opportunities not only for DTU students but also for students from other universities in Danang, who will be able to experience a new culture and practice their English skills in a professional working environment.
