Visiting Lecturers at DTU

With the aim to increase the quality in the teaching and the study of foreign languages, in recent years, DTU has invited many lecturers from abroad to teach at the university, especially for students attending international programs.

This July, DTU warmly welcomes Ms. Kerstin Rieger from Germany and Mr. Tony Lampkin from England. Both of them used to work for IBM and have English teaching certificates.

Students enrolled on the CMU and PSU programs now have the opportunity to improve their English skills with the help of Ms. Rieger and Mr Lampkin. Their teaching programs focus on listening and speaking skills and interview techniques.

“ Honestly, it’s a very difficult task at the beginning as students are very shy to speak English and their abilities are also very different. However, just after a few days, students feel more confident and study very hard. I think that their listening and speaking skills will be upgraded after this course- that’s for sure”,  Mrs. Kerstin stated.

It’s very difficult for students to attend international programs at DTU if their English is weak. So, learning directly from international teachers is the best way for them to effectively improve their English.
