Have you ever tried slowing down amid life’s constant rush, holding a warm cup of tea and allowing a gentle sense of calm to fill your heart?
In the bustling early days of the new year, the Japanese Cultural Exchange Program themed “Experiencing the Tea Ceremony and Wearing Yukata” was held by the DTU Vietnam-Japan Institute of Engineering and Technology on the afternoon of February 3, 2026. The event offered participants a meaningful pause, inviting them to slow down, cradle a warm cup of tea, and listen to the stillness within, embracing the true spirit of the Japanese tea ceremony.

In an elegant and tranquil atmosphere, DTU lecturers and students were immersed in the traditional cultural values of the Land of the Rising Sun. A highlight of the program was the tea ceremony demonstration led by Ms. Kuwata Emiko, a lecturer at the Vietnam–Japan Institute of Engineering and Technology. Guided by the philosophy of Harmony - Respect - Purity - Tranquility, each cup of tea carried not only delicate flavors but also a message of mindfulness, gratitude, and wholehearted presence in every moment.

In addition, the experience of wearing traditional Yukata added vibrant color and heartfelt emotion to the program. Dressed in light, refined attire, students seemed to embody a vision of Japan that is gentle, graceful, and captivating.
The program concluded with radiant smiles, leaving behind beautiful memories and further strengthening the cultural bridge between Vietnam and Japan.
