Lively Celebration of Life’s Colors and Flavors at 8th “Go See Do” Danang Photo Exhibition

The 8th “Go See Do” Danang photo exhibition award ceremony, organized by DTU with the theme “The Spice of Life”, officially took place at the Danang Museum, 31 Tran Phu street, Hai Chau, Danang, at 8:30 a.m. on January 20, 2026.

The exhibition attracts a large audience who share their emotions and perspectives on “The Spice of Life”


In recent years, Danang has been positioning itself as a dynamic tourism city with numerous events with international reach. With majestic natural landscapes, beautiful beaches, distinctive cuisine, and experiential tourist destinations, Danang leaves a unique impression on visitors. To help travelers better appreciate the flavor and beauty of Danang’s nature and people, DTU organizes the 8th installment of its annual “Go See Do” Danang photo contest.

“From the many photographs submitted to the contest this year, the organizers selected the most outstanding works - images that vividly capture the diversity, beauty, and cheerful energy of Danang,” founder of the contest Prof. Barbara G. Howell from Lorain County Community College (Ohio, USA), currently lecturer at DTU, said at the 8th “Go See Do” Danang photo exhibition award ceremony. “You’ll encounter dazzling and colorful fireworks festivals, the depth of traditional cultural and artistic heritage, the city’s beautiful natural life, and joyful and radiant faces filled with happiness.

 

“As the contest enters its eighth year, we are proud to recognize the humanistic spirit of Danang, where people are in step with everyday life through sports, recreation, and creativity. We are honored to introduce you to the natural world intertwined with Danang: from the diversity of flora and fauna to the charm of rivers and mountains. Not only does Danang tell stories of the past, it also appears today as a brilliant, vibrant, and energetic city as we look toward the future together.”

The judges presented the first prize in the professional category

to “Danang International Fireworks 2025” by Tran Ngoc Tuan


This year, the exhibition showcased eighty outstanding works by both professional and nonprofessional photographers, carefully selected from more than five hundred submissions. The photographs vividly reflect the beauty of Danang’s nature, culture, people, and everyday rhythms, offering the public diverse and emotionally rich perspectives on a dynamic coastal city full of character.

At the award ceremony, the judges presented prizes to the following most outstanding works:

 

Professional:


-    first prize (10 million VND): Da Nang International Fireworks 2025 by Tran Ngoc Tuan,
-    second prize (7 million VND): Welcoming Spring in Danang: Happiness with Vietnamese Lunar New Year by Tran Van Ngoc,
-    third prize (5 million VND): Childhood Bridge by Do Vy Phuong Uyen,
-    five consolation prizes (1 million VND each) awarded to other outstanding works.

 

Nonprofessional:


-    first prize (3 million VND): A Peaceful Haven by Phung Quang Hung,
-    second prize (2 million VND): Making a Living in Danang’s Coconut Forests by Ha Vu Linh,
-    four third prizes (1 million VND each):

 

+ Family of Red-Shanked Doucs by Dam Minh Son,
+ Teacher and Students among Mountains in Nam Giang by Tran Xuan Sinh,
+ Early Morning by the Sea by Tran Thu Ha,
+ Urban Aroma, Rural Flavor by Tran Van Thanh Danh.

 

A “cuisine award” (2 million VND) was presented to Flavor of Quang Noodles by Nguyen Minh Tho.

 

“In the era of AI, data is gold, and the collection of images capturing Danang through different periods at at “Go See Do” Danang photo exhibition, painstakingly created by DTU, is a truly valuable gold mine with deep and long-term significance,” DTU Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao emphasized. “More than an opportunity for photographers to share their creative achievements, this also allows to preserve special moments of the city across time. These photographs help tell the story of Danang’s tourism development while spreading and blending into the city’s distinctive cultural and tourism values.”


The 8th “Go See Do” Danang photo exhibition continues until February 25, 2026 (ninth day from Lunar New Year) to offer the public a culturally rich artistic exhibition amid the vibrant atmosphere of the beginning of the new Lunar year.
