Pham Thanh Xuan, a DTU student, has become one of the top 20 outstanding students nationwide to receive the VALOMA Talent Scholarship for 2025.

The VALOMA Scholarship Award Ceremony was held on November 31 at the Foreign Trade College in Ho Chi Minh City. This prestigious scholarship, awarded by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA), recognizes outstanding students nationwide, offering 11 Talent Scholarships and 9 scholarships for students overcoming hardships and showing resilience in their academic pursuits.
Spirit of initiative and perseverance
Pham Thanh Xuan grew up in Thang Bình, Da Nang, in a family with the tradition of valuing learning and academic success. Witnessing the struggles of his parents in farming, Thanh Xuan developed a strong will to succeed from a young age, with a deep belief that education is the key to a brighter future.
Upon entering DTU, Thanh Xuan maintained strict discipline in his studies and was determined to pursue a degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, a field known for its challenges but also for its critical role in the functioning of the modern economy.
Thanh Xuan was trusted by his lecturers to represent DTU for the VALOMA Talent Scholarship 2025, a prestigious award for the most outstanding students in Logistics & Supply Chain nationwide. Throughout his 3 years at DTU, Thanh Xuan consistently maintained a GPA of 3.8/4.0, achieved excellent academic records, and was actively involved in academic and research activities.

This achievement is not only the result of his sustained efforts but also a solid foundation for him to meet and exceed the selection criteria for the VALOMA Talent Scholarship.
It also demonstrates Thanh Xuan's proactive attitude, discipline, and relentless striving throughout her academic journey at DTU.
"Every semester, I set clear goals for each subject and always try my best to complete them. The VALOMA Talent Scholarship is not only an honor but also a reminder for me to be more responsible in the journey I have chosen," shared Thanh Xuan.
Aspiration to contribute to Vietnam’s Logistics Industry
As a fourth-year student in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Thanh Xuan is entering the most crucial phase of his journey with a mature mindset, confidence, and a clear career direction.
"At DTU, I have access to modern knowledge systems linked with real-world applications through courses such as Smart Port City, Multimodal Transport, Risk Management in Supply Chains, Procurement Management, and Warehouse and Distribution Management. These courses provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the role of logistics in the economy," said Thanh Xuan.

Alongside his studies, Thanh Xuan has actively participated in business simulations, scientific research, student entrepreneurship, and industry connection programs to hone his professional skills, management mindset, and practical experience in the real-world work environment. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the stringent requirements of the profession.
Not stopping at the goal of graduating, Thanh Xuan has a long-term vision tied to sustainable logistics and green supply chains: "The effectiveness of logistics is not just about optimizing costs or time, but also closely tied to the responsibility of protecting the environment and using resources wisely. Therefore, I plan to study for a Master’s degree to establish a foundation of knowledge and gradually contribute to the sustainable, modern, and eco-friendly development of Vietnam's logistics industry, while creating lasting value for society and the economy."
