People’s Teacher Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang shared: “Vietnam’s seas and islands, especially Naval Regions 3 and 4, are where soldiers stand guard over the waters day and night, which has deeply impacted me. It’s not just the sight of on-duty ships braving the waves or the national flags proudly waving in the sky, but also symbols of courage, national pride, and the quiet sacrifices of our soldiers. These inspirations led me to compose the song ‘Lòng Bi?n’ and submit it to the competition.”
This is the very purpose of the contest themed “The Seas and Islands of Vietnam and the Naval Regions 3’s Soldiers” which aims to honor and promote the noble values of the “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” through literary and artistic works, highlighting their determination and commitment to protecting the nation’s sea and island sovereignty.

"With his song “Lòng Bi?n” (Heart of the Sea), Professor Tran Huu Dang vividly portrayed the portrait of a soldier from Naval Region 3 -courageous, resilient, and steadfast in the face of storms, yet with a heart always devoted to the homeland. Through its delicate musical imagery and concise, emotionally charged lyrics, the song left a deep impression on the Judges. This is why Prof. Tran Huu Dang was honored with the First prize in the Music category in this meaningful contest.
"Through this song, I want to convey to young people in general, and to DTU students in particular, the importance of cherishing every peaceful moment of the present. Achieving peace and freedom has required countless generations of our predecessors to sacrifice their blood, youth, and lives on the battlefield. The silent sacrifices of those who came before us not only preserved our borderlands and distant seas, but also passed down a brighter future to today’s generation. We should all understand this, cultivate gratitude, live responsibly, and carry forward the spirit of protecting our homeland through our actions, aspirations, and efforts," Professor Tran Huu Dang shared.
