On the afternoon of November 15, 2025, PM Pham Minh Chinh met with several exemplary teachers to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20). Duy Tan University (DTU) Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao was honored to be one of sixty educators selected to represent the more than 1.6 million teachers nationwide at the meeting.
The prime minister affirmed that the Party and the State always regard education & training as a top national priority. Education & training are the source of human “virtue, intellect, physical well-being, and beauty”. Human resources are the decisive factor in a nation’s success or failure and for rapid and sustainable development. Investing in people is investing in development.

We respectfully acknowledge many teachers who not only excel in their professional and administrative roles but also actively engage in scientific research, creative innovation, and practical application to improve teaching and learning. They publish many scientific papers, win many prestigious international awards, and enthusiastically participate in activities for society, charity, students, and community. Examples are Ms Nguyen Thi Hien (Foreign Trade University), Mr Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy (Hue University of Medicine & Pharmacy), Mr Hoang Van Hung (Thai Nguyen University), and Mr Le Nguyen Bao (DTU).
These educators have devoted tremendous effort and made quiet sacrifices to “plant the seeds of knowledge, nurture dreams, spark passion, inspire creativity, and build the future” for countless generations of students. Their responsibility goes beyond delivering knowledge; they are companions who help students explore the world and discover life’s values. For educators, teaching is not just a job, but a passion and a sacred mission.

Minister of Education & Training Nguyen Kim Son explained that participation in the meeting is not only a personal honor for the sixty educators but also a source of pride for the more than 1.6 million educators nationwide. Each teacher brings a meaningful story of love for the profession, resilience in overcoming difficulties, and continuous creativity, whether they have dedicated their lives to teaching, play a pioneering role in the digital transformation, or quietly support disadvantaged students.
These teachers are shining examples of ethics and character. They are the core of the emulation movement, innovation, and creativity. They strengthen public trust and inspiring pride in the noble and humanist teaching profession.
Party, state, and government always devote special attention to the teaching workforce, which is a key factor in the success of the education system. This consistent viewpoint is reflected through major resolutions, including resolution nr. 29/NQ-TW on fundamental and comprehensive education reform, conclusion nr. 94/KL-TW on continuing the implementation of resolution nr. 29, and most recently Politburo resolution nr. 71/NQ-TW on development breakthroughs in education & training.
This policy orientation not only affirms the central role of the teacher but also introduces strategic solutions and mechanisms to meet the urgent need of developing the teaching workforce and to ensure that educational quality meets the demands of the country’s rapid and robust progress in the new era.

Policies that focus on developing the teaching workforce are a spearhead solution and the key for realizing the development expectations of education and the nation.
Speaking at the meeting, DTU Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao noted that many new resolutions have recently been issued. Most of note are resolution nr. 57 on the national development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The foundation of this resolution is education, supported by related resolutions such as nr. 29 and nr. 71.

“Technology can be learned from abroad,” he added, “but for it to become Vietnam’s core, the country needs a workforce of sufficient quantity and quality.”

With a strategic focus on microchips, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence (AI), the government needs a clear and concrete strategic direction for training, from learning materials and lecturers to advanced international programs and partner companies.
Dr Le Nguyen Bao also proposed greater attention to non-public universities, particularly regarding land allocation, campus area standards per student, and access to national research funds.
