On the afternoon of November 9, 2025, the DTU School of Languages, Humanities, & Social Sciences (LHSS) solemnly hosted the program “Welcoming class-K31 freshmen & final round of LHSS’s Got Talent 2025 - Shine Your Talent” at the 4th-floor auditorium at 3 Quang Trung. More than just a gathering to start the new academic year, the event was also meaningful as a tribute to DTU for its 31st anniversary (founded November 11, 1994) and as celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (on November 20). The event blended knowledge, gratitude, and the humanistic spirit of students. The program was meant as a special spiritual gift to welcome the freshmen of class K31 into the LHSS family - where knowledge, creativity, and the humanistic spirit come together.

Welcoming class-K31 freshmen: Beginning a journey of knowledge and passion
In attendance were Distinguished Teacher and Hero of Labor Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman; university leaders; representatives from the consulate general of China in Danang; and many businesses, sponsors, lecturers, and students from various faculties. In his congratulatory remarks, Mr Le Cong Co shared a profound message: DTU students must always nurture great ambitions, pursue knowledge with bravery, and be unwaveringly creative to contribute to society.

A meaningful moment of the program was the awarding of educational encouragement scholarships to students in difficult circumstances but with outstanding results in their studies and personal development. The consulate general of China in Danang awarded scholarships worth 10 million VND each to ten students of the Faculty of Chinese Language, to foster their learning spirit and promote cultural exchange between the two countries. On behalf of the consulate, Ms Dong Biyou voiced her joy in supporting LHSS students, and expressed her wish that they would work hard in their studies and spread positive values at the university. The Danang Trade Union Hotel also awarded two scholarships of 1 million VND each to students of the Faculty of English Language - a kind and humane gesture to further motivate the young learners on their journey of conquering knowledge.

In name of the organizers, Dr Hoang Thi Huong and Dr Dang Thuy Lien presented flowers to thank the sponsors - the consulate general of China in Danang, Henry Nguyen SM LLC, and the Danang Trade Union Hotel - for always helping the university support and develop its students.
