On the morning of October 7, 2025, the first anniversary of the upgrade of the administrative status of DTU on October 7, 2024 was solemnly celebrated at 3 Quang Trung, Danang. The event was an opportunity for the university’s staff, lecturers, and students to look back on the achievements that resulted from their joint efforts.

On October 7, 2024, the government issued decision nr. 1115/QD-TTg officially upgrading the administrative status of DTU. This marked a significant milestone in its journey of development and growth.

DTU presented awards to students who excelled in domestic and international competitions
Throughout nearly 31 years of development, the university has continually affirmed its educational quality, expanded international cooperation, invested in modern facilities, and upheld its mission to train high-quality manpower for the country. DTU has achieved many remarkable accomplishments:
- DTU is ranked 482nd among the world’s best universities in 2026 and among the top 100+ universities in Asia in 2025 according to QS Rankings.
- DTU has extensive international partnerships from the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany to Japan, South Korea, and China. DTU currently has six programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) - making it one of only two universities in Vietnam with this number of ABET-accredited programs. Two tourism programs have furthermore received UNWTO.TedQual certification from the United Nations, affirming the university’s position in the national education network.
- Two DTU scientists are among the 10,000 most influential scientists in the world: Dr Tran Nguyen Hai (2,905th of the world) and Dr Hoang Nhat Duc (3,635th of the world).
- Nearly 95% of DTU graduates secure employment within six months after graduation. Of note, students in Architecture, Construction, IT, Food Technology, and Environmental Engineering achieve a 100% employment rate upon graduation.

During the ceremony, DTU presented awards to students who excelled in domestic and international competitions. These awards celebrate their efforts and perseverance in study and research. They serve as timely encouragement and as a strong motivation for young talents to continue developing their abilities, confidence, and passion for knowledge.

Amid the joyful and meaningful atmosphere of the celebration, distinctive art performances prepared and performed by DTU’s talented staff, lecturers, and students delivered deep emotions and showed their pride. These well-prepared, creative performances were not only heartfelt gifts to the audience but also reflections of the solidarity and pride shared by the DTU community for its remarkable journey of development.

I wish the DTU community will have the determination to uphold the values we have built and to honor the great work of those who came before and who, with silent dedication, laid the foundation for the growth and success the university has today.”
