On July 14, 2025, DTU officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Minnesota Crookston, one of the five member schools of the prestigious University of Minnesota system in the US. This significant milestone marked the beginning of numerous opportunities for the collaboration between the two institutions, aimed at enhancing the quality of education, promoting faculty and student exchanges, and developing joint research programs, as well as fostering future international cooperation activities.

The signing
Professor Dr Mary Holz Clause, Chancellor of the University of Minnesota Crookston, emphasized: "With today's signing with DTU, we are confident that students from the two universities will have great learning experiences and broad career opportunities through this partnership. In particular, the 'Visiting Student Program' will open doors for DTU students to participate in exchange courses across various academic fields of interest. We are committed to providing rich international learning opportunities that will help students develop comprehensively, from specialized knowledge to 'soft' skills, preparing them to confidently enter a competitive and opportunity-filled job market."
According to the agreement, DTU and the University of Minnesota Crookston will implement activities such as organizing short-term exchange programs for faculty and students (Visiting International Programs), discussing plans for enrolling in the University of Minnesota Crookston's distance learning programs, organizing international conferences, and working towards developing a 2+2 overseas study program in Business English, among other initiatives.
The University of Minnesota is one of the most prestigious public universities in the United States. As a member of the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Crookston stands out for its training model, which tightly integrates theory and practice, while placing special emphasis on the application of technology and the development of modern online education.

The University of Minnesota Crookston is ranked third among public universities in the U.S. Midwest region according to the U.S. News & World Report for the 2023-2024 academic year. Additionally, Forbes Advisor, an online platform of Forbes magazine providing analysis and evaluations in various fields, has recognized Minnesota Crookston as one of the top universities for Online Education in the field of Healthcare.
The University of Minnesota Crookston offers over 75 majors, including 15 online programs. With 1,800 students from more than 20 countries and 40 states, the Crookston campus provides a supportive and close-knit atmosphere, allowing students to earn a prestigious University of Minnesota degree. The Bachelor’s programs in English Language and English Education have recently attracted significant interest from international students, helping young people develop essential skills in analysis, writing, and communication, which are crucial in many career fields.
