On the morning of May 20, 2025, the DTU campus was bustling and colorful as the “German Career Bus” officially arrived, marking its second and final stop in Da Nang City on its meaningful cross-country journey. This key event is part of a series celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany, held by the DAAD Office (German Academic Exchange Service).

DTU students excitedly participate in mini-games and receive gifts during the German Career Bus event
Speaking at the program, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Provost, said: “On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany, we are honored to welcome the ‘Career Bus’ to DTU today. This is a valuable opportunity for DTU students to know more about German culture, education, and career opportunities. With the motto ‘All for the study and employment rights of students,’ DTU continually strives to expand international cooperation, exemplified by events such as the German-Vietnam Science Day 2023, and by facilitating opportunities for German students to study and exchange at our university. We sincerely thank the German Embassy and related organizations for organizing this meaningful program. We wish for the partnership between our two countries to grow sustainably, contributing to the mutual development in all fields.”
With the aim of bringing Vietnamese students closer to the education system, culture, and career opportunities in the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Career Bus offered a range of engaging interactive activities and experiences, attracting a large number of DTU students.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, DTU researcher, shares practical experiences about life and study in Germany
Right at the DTU campus, students had the opportunity to:
- Experience virtual reality (VR) simulations of life, study, and work environments in Germany,
- Learn about top German academic and educational organizations through specialized consulting booths,
- Enjoy traditional German sausages, a symbolic dish of German culinary culture,
- Participate in creative mini-games and receive attractive gifts from the organizers.
These activities helped students gain a more comprehensive and vivid understanding of Germany’s people, culture, and education system, better preparing them for future plans to study or work abroad.
One of the event’s highlights was a series of specialized interactive sessions, including:
- A presentation on study opportunities in Germany by a DAAD representative, providing detailed information on admission requirements, scholarship programs, and undergraduate and graduate study pathways.
- A German culture class featuring interesting insights into the German lifestyle and distinctive cultural values.
- An exchange session with former international students in Germany, notably featuring Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, a researcher at DTU and a DAAD Ambassador in Vietnam, who shared authentic and inspiring stories.
Drawing from his real-life experience, Dr. Trung discussed his academic and research journey in Germany as well as the essential skills students need to successfully integrate into the international environment.
Through this event, DTU once again reaffirmed its commitment to internationalizing education and pledged to create optimal conditions for students to access leading educational systems worldwide.
