2025 Student Scientific Research Conference at the School of Language, Humanities & Social Sciences

On May 6, 2025, the DTU School of Language, Humanities & Social Sciences (LHSS) held the 2025 Student Scientific Research Conference. The event aimed to promote the spirit of scientific research and recognize the academic achievements of students and faculty members at the school.

 

Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, Vice - Rector of the School of Language & Social Sciences, delivers the Opening speech

 

In her opening speech, Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, Vice - Rector of the DTU School of Language, Humanities & Social Sciences, emphasized: "Scientific research not only improves the quality of education but also contributes to the development of academic fields, nurtures passion, and enhances students' research capabilities. This year, the school has actively embraced new trends in education and applied advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its activities. Students of the School of Language & Social Sciences are taking the initiative to apply digital technology and AI in language, culture, and communication research."

 

This year's Student Scientific Research Conference attracted a total of 26 research topics recognized by the school. Among them, 13 outstanding projects were selected for presentation at the conference. These studies not only hold high scientific value but are also closely related to real-life and societal issues, reflecting continuous efforts in researching current problems and practical topics. Additionally, the conference selected notable research works to participate in debates at the DTU Student Scientific Research Conference, aiming towards larger academic platforms.”

 

Students of the DTU School of Language, Humanities & Social Sciences confidently present their research topics 

 

The 2025 Student Scientific Research Conference at the LHSS had two subcommittees:


-    Social Sciences Subcommittee, and
-    Foreign Languages Subcommittee.

 

At the conclusion of the conference, three outstanding research topics were selected to continue presenting at the upcoming DTU’s Economic-Social Sector Student Scientific Research Conference, including:


-    "Linguistic Features in English and Vietnamese Rap Lyrics" by students Nguyen Le Yen Tram and Tran Thi My Linh (English Faculty),
-    "The Impact of Using Chat GPT on Self-Studying English Speaking Skills of English Language Students at DTU " by student Pham Th? My Hanh (English Faculty), and
-    "Liability for Compensation in International Goods Sale Contracts" by student Duong Thi Hong Ngoc (Law Faculty).

 

The encouraging results from the research topics presented at the conference further affirmed the capabilities and relentless efforts of the students, who not only overcame challenges but also showcased creativity, passion, and a scientific research spirit. These successes not only contribute to enhancing the quality of education but also make significant contributions to the academic community, creating great opportunities for the future career development of the students.
