A Challenging intellectual arena

DTU ERPsim League 2025 was not just a competition but also an exciting intellectual arena, providing an opportunity for contestants to experience real-world business processes, strategies, and tactics through the SAP ERP (SAP S/4HANA) system. This was an excellent opportunity for young people to showcase their talents while enhancing teamwork skills and connecting academic knowledge with dynamic business practices.

Through the competition, contestants were exposed to new business technologies and solutions, while learning how to apply ERP systems to manage resources effectively and handle core business management processes. The DTU ERPsim League 2025 has contributed to the creation of a new generation of potential human resources who can apply ERP systems in future business management roles.

The judging panel focused on listening attentively and asking challenging questions to the competing teams.

Rank A Finals: Where sustainable strategies shine

Similar to the earlier Rank C and B finals, the Rank A finals of the DTU ERPsim League 2025 were held in a format with both first and second-round matches to select the top seven teams for the Finals. The teams were tasked with managing a breakfast cereal (Muesli) manufacturing company in the German market, with the goal of not only optimizing the production process but also considering carbon emissions throughout the operational process.

The special feature of the Rank A finals, the “Manufacturing Sustainability Game” simulation, was that the teams had to face the challenge of carbon emissions, an essential element of sustainable development strategies.

The companies needed to carefully calculate the emissions from production, transportation, and storage, as this emission level would affect carbon tax costs, final profits, and the overall value of the company.

The teams not only had to perfect the production and consumption processes but also had to develop an effective business strategy to maintain sustainable development. During the Finals, the teams participated in two sessions:

-    First session: Managing the business through the ERPsim simulation game, and
-    Second session: Presenting the effectiveness of their business strategy. In this session, the teams would present their strategies to the judges, explaining the strategies they implemented and the results these strategies achieved throughout the competition.

Finally, after challenging rounds of competition, the results of the DTU ERPsim League 2025 were announced:

-    First prize: Team 014 - BabyFive
-    Second prize: Team 002 - Limitless Ambitions
-    Third prize: Team 008 - Pickle Ball
-    Encouragement award: Team 009 - Iron Alliance and Team 001 - T1 Corporation
-    Best Presentation award: Team 009 - Iron Alliance

Team 014 - BabyFive not only won the Rank A level but also made a strong impression with their sustainable development strategy, making their company one of the leaders in carbon emission control. Other teams also showcased their talent and excellent strategies, contributing to a colorful and meaningful competition.

The DTU ERPsim League 2025 concluded successfully but will surely continue to serve as a solid stepping stone for DTU students as they step into the real business world, where they can apply the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired to manage and develop businesses in the future.
