From April 23 to 26, 2025, the 28th Da Nang Youth Informatics Competition was held at DTU. The event was co-organized by the municipal Youth Union, the Department of Education and Training, and DTU.

Mr. Le Cong Hung, the Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union, stated: "The Danang Youth Informatics Contest is an annual activity organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Danang Department of Education and Training, and DTU. It is a platform to promote the learning, creativity, and application of IT among the youth of the city. This event also serves as an opportunity to discover and nurture young individuals who have a passion for and talent in IT, contributing to the development of the city's IT workforce in the future. In the coming time, the organizing committee will select outstanding students to further train and develop the city’s team to participate in the 2025 National Youth Informatics Competition."
The 28th Da Nang Youth Informatics Contest attracts 978 contestants divided into 7 groups, covering many fields
The 2025 Youth Informatics Contest aimed to implement the 2024 Youth Union’s work program and the Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Also, it aimed to contribute to the training of young IT talent, fostering creativity, knowledge, and skills among the contestants to solve real-world problems and apply them to social life.
The competition attracted 978 participants in 7 categories, including programming skills, creative products, and software in various fields for elementary school, middle school, high school, and continuing education center students in the city (including: Category A - 260 participants, B - 180 participants, C1 - 67 participants, C2 - 192 participants, D1 - 62 teams, D2 - 47 teams, D3 - 46 teams).
