English in particular, and foreign languages in general, are of great interest to young people, but they also raise many concerns about how to learn and use a foreign language fluently. It can be said that foreign languages are one of the "golden keys" to open doors to success in the future. Therefore, the "Applying AI in Effective Self-Learning of English for Freshmen" talkshow was a valuable opportunity for students to explore the latest English learning methods, especially through the AI application in self-learning process.

At the event, representatives from the IRIS English Language System shared practical English learning methods, including pronunciation techniques, effective vocabulary memorization strategies, and tips for meeting the university's English proficiency requirements. In addition, attendees were guided on how to use modern tools for learning English, particularly AI-integrated platforms. The highlight of the program was the introduction of AI-powered tools that support effective English learning, including the use of ChatGPT for practicing speaking, learning vocabulary, and improving writing skills. Moreover, websites such as Free4Talk, where students can practice speaking with native speakers, and ABA English, a comprehensive English learning platform, were also recommended for students to utilize.

Ms. Phan Thi Mai Ly said: "AI has been playing an important role in helping students learn languages more intelligently. Tools like ChatGPT not only assist in practicing communication but also provide instant feedback to improve grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. The development of AI not only helps learners to be more proactive in honing their English skills but also brings high efficiency through its interactivity and personalization. AI optimizes study time, enable students to adjust their learning pace based on individual needs and enabling them to study anytime, anywhere."

The talk show provided valuable insights into AI tools for learning English and sparked excitement among new students about applying technology to their studies. Integrating AI into language learning and teaching is not only a solution for improving learning quality but also helps students master technology, preparing them to step confidently into the digital era.
