With a total score of 28.37/30 in the 2024 National High School Graduation Exam, Nguyen Diem Quynh, a female student from Binh Son High School in Quang Ngai, decided to apply for the PSU-standard program in International Hotel Management at Duy Tan University (DTU).
A full scholarship (covering 100% of tuition fees) for Diem Quynh's university journey is a well-deserved reward for her hard work and dedication over the years.
Near-perfect score of 9.75/10 for History
Born and raised in a farming family, Nguyen Diem Quynh and her siblings fully understand their parents’ hardships, which motivates them to keep up their hard work for school. With determination and effort, Diem Quynh maintained the title of Skilled Student throughout senior high.

Diem Quynh entered the 2024 HSGE with confidence, as she dedicated considerable time and effort to acquiring knowledge and honing her test-taking skills. She achieved the score of her dreams: 28.37/30 points, with a near-perfect result of 9.75/10 points for History.
“Intent focusing to absorb knowledge during lessons is crucial,” Diem Quynh shares her secrets to academic success and high test scores. “I never missed a single class. Once home, I continue studying and I write down anything I didn’t fully understand, and then, if I can’t find the answer myself, I’ll seek further clarification from the teachers. When studying social sciences, I always relax my mind as much as I can to better retain information, and especially historical events.”
Despite often being busy with schoolwork and especially so in the final years of senior high, Diem Quynh enthusiastically took part in school and class activities. She was also an energetic Youth Union Secretary and she left a strong impression in extracurricular activities, cultural performances, and collective movements. Sports fields like for soccer, volleyball, and badminton were where she often enjoyed her favorite sports and worked on her fitness.

Diem Quynh lives by the motto “study hard, play hard”, making her very sociable and enthusiastic with her classmates and earning the teachers’ affection. This filled her school time with joy and laughter.
Two sisters both receive full scholarships from DTU
With her high exam scores, Diem Quynh reveals a bit of luck not every student has: an older sister who also excels in her studies and who is a most trusted mastermind. Her sister helped her choose the right major and university aligned with her aspirations.
“My older sister Nguyen Phuong Thao is currently in her fourth year of DTU’s American Degree Program or ADP in Business Administration,” Diem Quynh explains. “She also got a full scholarship from the university when she first started. She’s like a close friend who supports me a lot in my studies and she also helped me choose the right university to pursue my dreams. Having her at the same university gives me a lot of confidence, as I know I’ll have someone to guide me and ease my homesickness the first days away from home.”

Since senior high, Diem Quynh has been looking up to her sister as a role model of serious studying and with the dream of, just like her sister, earning a full scholarship when going to university. The valuable gift that both sisters received is a reward for their academic efforts and a gift to their parents, easing the family’s financial burden.
With a passion for tourism and a desire to work in this smokeless industry to develop her skills and strengths, Diem Quynh decided to study International Hotel Management at DTU.
“As my sister introduced me to DTU and its facilities, lecturers, and advanced training programs, I’m very happy to start my new academic journey here,” Diem Quynh explain.
“DTU’s hospitality programs offer many activities, including internships at major hotels and international cultural exchanges, which allows students to tap their capabilities. This environment is exactly what I was looking for, as my dream is to become a successful tourism manager.”
The initial worries and confusion along with the excitement and determination as she steps into university life will undoubtedly turn into cherished memories for this energetic Youth Union Secretary. With her diligence, ambition, eagerness to learn, and the strong foundation that are DTU’s advanced training programs, she is sure to excel and soon realize her many dreams.
