Tuyen was born into a family with five siblings and is the second child. Her parents are farmers, and when they heard that Tuyen had been granted a full scholarship covering 100% of tuition from DTU, the whole family was delighted and proud of what their daughter had achieved with her many months of diligent study.
“What impressed me was the fact that DTU is one of the top universities in Vietnam and is ranked in the top 500 in the world,” Tuyen says on why she chose for DTU. “Especially, after thorough research, I learned that DTU offers many scholarship programs and student encouragement policies, and the employment rate for graduates is quite high, especially in IT, engineering, and technology.
“One of the important factors that led me to choose DTU was the dedication of the staff and lecturers there. When I wanted to learn more about the field I had chosen, lecturers like Prof. Hong Quoc, Prof. Thang, and Prof. Tuan provided detailed and enthusiastic advice on the available programs, which gave me a clearer view of my academic future. Even though I met and interacted with only a few DTU lecturers just once, I already feel that the learning environment, the lecturers, and the classmates here are exactly what I’ve always been looking for.”
