Thuy’s dream came true when she got 27.9/30 points and received a scholarship from DTU

Growing up with hardship, Thuy has always been aware of her family’s condition, which motivates her to study hard to find a brighter path for her future. Year after year, Thuy received honors at her Tho Xuan 5 senior high school, and she won a provincial consolation prize in History in 12th grade. And at the 2024 HSGE, she obtained a perfect score in History, for a total of 27.9/30 points.

“There’s many who feel that studying History is just going through dry facts, but the more I study it, the more excited I become with each discovery of a valuable and meaningful lesson hidden behind some story or past event,” Thuy explains her special passion for History. “History is like a long story you have to string together, because prior events lead up to what happens after. Besides constantly improving my textbook knowledge, I also watch historical films about our people for a better recall of historical stories, which gives the best results at tests.”

Luck smiled on Thuy, and she was delighted to learn she would receive a full scholarship (fully covering tuition) to study PSU-standard Tourism & Hospitality Management at DTU, to continue living her dream while reducing the financial burden on her family.

I’m completely confident that DTU will help me grow in the best way.”

With 9.25 in Literature, Le’s study methods are intriguing. She would master what is in her textbooks and practice many test questions. She furthermore loves observing and listening. Using her emotions and paying attention to tiny details provides her with valuable material for her passionate study of Literature.

“I feel that I’ve done my best and lived up to the expectations of teachers and family with my good HSGE results,” Le cannot hide her joy. “And on top I’ll get a full scholarship from DTU to continue pursuing my favorite field.”

Phuong Uyen is proud with her 27.34/30 points and will start university with confidence

“My parents do rather tough work, and their income only covers basic living expenses and my education,” Phuong Uyen explains. “The past years, my main focus has been to study, so I haven’t been able to help them much. When I’d completed high school and learnt the workshop where my mother works was hiring temporary packers, I therefore asked my mother to let me work with her to help cover the family’s study and living expenses.”

Besides mastering basic textbook knowledge, Phuong Uyen diligently does advanced exercises and practice tests before each exam season. That is how she reached 9.75 points for History in a total of 27.34/30 points. “When I revise, my textbooks are my main material, and besides this I watch well-known teachers’ explanations on YouTube and TikTok,” Phuong Uyen shares her secrets. “Sometimes, changing the way I absorb knowledge helps me remember important information better for social subjects. It’s also important to allocate time wisely when writing essays, to avoid wandering off or giving too many opinions.

“After gathering information from friends, family, and the Internet, I wanted to enroll at DTU because of its modern facilities, advanced training programs, and many activities where students develop their soft skills. The full scholarship I received feels like a dream to me. It’s a significant source of encouragement for me and my family and furthermore it’ll be a great support for me to have good learning conditions during these crucial university years.”
