To equip students with essential skills for their upcoming scientific research journeys, the Scientific Research Club (SRC) of the DTU School of Medicine & Pharmacy organized the talk show “Perspectives on Scientific Research” on July 7, 2024, at DTU’s 3 Quang Trung campus.
DTU Vice - Provost and School of Medicine & Pharmacy Rector Prof. Tran Huu Dang spoke at the talk show
“In recent years, scientific research has become a topic of great interest among Vietnamese youth, and especially among students and lecturers across the country,” DTU Vice - Provost and School of Medicine & Pharmacy Rector Prof. Dr MD Tran Huu Dang explained at the talk show. “Students have been doing research with high flexibility, with multidimensional and comprehensive perspectives and many innovative ideas. This is clearly reflected in recent research projects of creativity, currency, and high applicability. I was therefore very happy when students of the College of Medicine & Pharmacy initiated the Scientific Research Club with the participation of numerous students, and I highly appreciate their diligence and determination. I hope the club will grow strong and accomplish even more in the future.”
The talk show “Perspectives on Scientific Research” provided valuable information on scientific research and future directions
Prof. Tran Huu Dang, who has inspired many young people and guided a great lot of classes towards impressive scientific research results, personally spoke to the students about the path to scientific research and the challenges and difficulties along that path. His insights helped the students understand that there is no easy path, but that instead one must face difficulties and overcome challenges to achieve success. His words will be a significant motivation for the students to work hard in their studies and in their future scientific research.
At the talk show, advisors from the DTU School of Medicine & Pharmacy, and guests - pharmacist Tran Thi Van Anh and MD Dang Thi Xuan Lanh from the Hospital 199 General Planning Department - enthusiastically answered students’ questions, such as: “How do I choose a suitable research topic?”, “What are some future directions?”, and “What are the benefits of scientific research in a job resume?”
“I really like this quote by Albert Einstein,” Club President Nguyen Anh Tuan said, “‘Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.’ The quote shows how important creativity and creative thinking are in science. Sometimes, to make new discoveries, we must bravely seek our own new paths and surpass our own limits. Inspired by this, with some fellow students from the College of Medicine & Pharmacy we decided to found the Scientific Research Club (SRC), as a platform to strengthen the scientific research environment among students at our university.”
The talk show concluded with a wealth of valuable information on scientific research and future directions. With the support and dynamic environment provided by the Scientific Research Club, students will undoubtedly be able to equip themselves with the necessary skills for the bright new journey that is opening ahead.
