DTU students achieved a significant milestone on their international journey by becoming World Champions at the ERPsim International Competition 2025. This marks the first time a team from Vietnam has secured the top position in this prestigious global competition.

The finals of the ERPsim International Competition 2025, jointly organized by SAP University Alliances (a division of SAP, the world’s leading enterprise software company) and HEC Montréal, brought together 15 top teams from the United States, Finland, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Chile, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
This achievement further affirms DTU students’ strong capabilities in business management, strategic thinking, and their mastery of SAP S/4HANA ERP systems, one of the most widely used enterprise management platforms by leading global corporations today.
Maintaining the Lead in AI and Cybersecurity
Organized by Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), Indonesia, the International PBL Expo 2025 recognized and showcased outstanding student products and projects, with a particular focus on initiatives developed through the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach.

The project “Vietnamese AI Assistant for Hearing-Impaired People,” developed by the ViSTAR team, not only won First Prize but was also selected as the overall Champion at the International PBL Expo 2025. The project stood out for its innovative system that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision to translate sign language in real time, creating a vital bridge that enhances daily communication for people with hearing impairments.
In the field of Information Security, the DTU_4lias team stood out among many competing teams, securing a place in the Top 5 out of 27 teams overall and ranking Top 1 among international teams in the Attack-Defense CTF 2025, as part of the Iran Tech Olympics CTF 2025. This achievement is particularly noteworthy, considering the other teams came from professional organizations and companies specializing in Cybersecurity.

A team of DTU Biotechnology students earned the "Outstanding Poster Presentation" award at the 2025 Asian Society of Natural Products (ASNP) - The Global Symposium on Natural Products, held in Jecheon, South Korea.

Their research centered on establishing a protocol for rapid biomass production of adventitious roots in Vietnamese ginseng (Panax vietnamensis), a rare ginseng species with exceptionally high saponin content, which gives it great medicinal and economic value. The protocol is considered crucial for opening new directions in the conservation of valuable genetic resources while also laying a foundation for the stable development of medicinal plant materials to support both research and production.

In the field of Natural Sciences, DTU students continued to demonstrate their abilities at the 12th National Chemistry Student Olympiad in 2025, the largest event of its kind to date, with 316 outstanding students from 45 universities.

Multiple Gold Awards at the 2025 Graphis New Talent Awards, Plus the “Digital Prospect” Award
In the field of Graphic Design & Arts, DTU students have made a strong international mark. Seventeen graphic design students won a total of 21 awards at the Graphis New Talent Awards 2025, a prestigious competition organized by Graphis Inc., the renowned U.S. publisher of design, advertising, photography, and pattern publications. Held annually, the competition recognizes emerging young talents in creative design worldwide.

It tells a story of Vietnamese culture through modern design, blending tradition with contemporary aesthetics.

Graphic design student Phan Hien Linh’s graduation project also received the “Digital Prospect” award at the exhibition held during the 2025 National Scientific Conference “Unlimited Creativity: Art, Technology, and Innovation.” By giving Alice in Wonderland characters a fresh look with traditional H’Mông costumes, Hien Linh aimed to inspire creativity while preserving and promoting Vietnam’s cultural values.

The Sunshine team, consisting of 10 DTU students of Multimedia Communication, won the "Best Cinematography" award at ASEAN UniFest 2025 with their short film "The Lantern-Making Profession of Hoi An - The Story Behind the Magical 'Light.'"

Drawing inspiration from Hoi An ancient town, which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, the Sunshine team portrayed the enduring journey of artisans who make traditional lanterns. The Sunshine team wishes to convey a message of respect, appreciation, and preservation of traditional values. They aim to inspire pride in the beauty of handicrafts while expressing a wish to share the beauty and value of Vietnamese traditional culture - especially the unique features of Danang, where they are studying and nurturing their creative passions.
With the unique advantage of hands-on practice and internships at DTU Silver Swallows Studio (SSS), which provides extensive support for training in cinematography, photography, post-production, and production, DTU students have access to state-of-the-art equipment for filming, image processing, 3D work, and cutting-edge filmmaking. The studio includes a high-end soundstage, professional audio recording and editing rooms, post-production and VFX suites, and a motion capture (MOCAP) facility, enabling students to produce impressive personal works and leave a lasting mark in the art of cinema.

The First Prize at the J-SEIYU 2025 Japanese Dubbing Competition was awarded to a DTU student of Japanese language, surpassing many strong competitors and showcasing exceptional language proficiency and expressive skills.

Winning First prize in Korean Film Dubbing, Second prize in K-pop Dance and Singing, and the Recycled Hanbok Costume Award at the Central Vietnam Korean Language and Culture Festival is a well-deserved recognition of the talent and dedication of students from DTU’s Korean Language faculty, DTU School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences (LHSS), and the K-pop Club.
