Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Danang city Confederation of Labor and with the approval of the DTU Party committee, the DTU Labor Union solemnly held its 10th Expanded Executive Committee Conference for 2025 - 2030 on November 29, 2025.
The conference was honored to welcome: Hero of Labor and Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, Party committee Secretary and DTU Chairman; DTU Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao; Dr Vo Thanh Hai, standing Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and standing Vice Rector of DTU; Mr Le Van Dai, standing Vice President of the Danang city Confederation of Labor; Ms Pham Thi Thu Huyen, standing committee member and Deputy Head of Labor Union Affairs at the Danang city Confederation of Labor; members of the Union standing and executive committees for 2023 - 2028; and 58 delegates representing the 902 Union members at DTU.
DTU Union Chairman Mr Nguyen Thanh Duong delivered the opening remarks
In his opening remarks, Mr Nguyen Thanh Duong, Chairman of the DTU Labor Union, extended a warm welcome to all delegates and emphasized that the close attention and regular guidance from city Confederation of Labor, Party committee, and University Boards of Trustees and of Directors had been an important foundation for the Labor Union to successfully fulfill its tasks during the previous term.
At the conference, DTU Union Vice Chairman Mr Dang Ngoc Toan presented the summary report on Union activities in 2023–2025. He affirmed that care for employees’ material and mental well-being is always a priority; regulations and policies have been fully implemented; regulations, procedures, job title standards, and salary scales have been jointly and effectively developed; and grassroots democracy has been ensured. The Union has furthermore maintained traditional activities such as Mid-Autumn Festival, International Children’s Day, and the Study Promotion Fund; periodic health checkups and visits to Union members; promotion of women’s Union movements; renewed communication efforts; recruitment of new Union members; and improvement of Union activities. His report also outlined the directions, goals, and tasks for 2025 - 2030.

Within the framework of the conference, the leadership of the Danang city Confederation of Labor awarded a commemorative medal to Dr Vo Thanh Hai, standing Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and standing Vice Rector of DTU, “for building the Labor Union”, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of the organization of the Vietnam Labor Union.
The executive committee of the city Confederation of Labor also presented certificates of merit to the DTU Labor Union collectively and to Mr Nguyen Thanh Duong, DTU Head of Staff and Chairman of the DTU grassroots Union, for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of skilled labor and in building a strong Union in 2024 - 2025.
The 10th executive committee of the DTU Labor Union for 2025 - 2030 was presented
At the conference, the fifteen members of the 10th executive committee of the DTU Labor Union for 2025 - 2030 were elected. Mr Nguyen Thanh Duong was elected to as representative for the 1st congress of the Danang city Labor Union for 2025–2030.
The new executive committee was presented and received congratulatory flowers from Hero of Labor and Meritorious Teacher Le Cong Co and from Mr Le Van Dai, standing Vice President of the Danang city Confederation of Labor.
The DTU Union executive committee expressed sincere thanks to the leaders and delegates in attendance and reaffirmed its determination to continue innovating and improving Union activities, to contribute to the sustainable development of DTU. The 10th Expanded Executive Committee Conference of the DTU Labor Union for 2025 - 2030 concluded successfully.
