On October 9, 2025, the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking organization announced the results of the 2026 World University Rankings (THE World University Rankings 2026) with the participation of 2,191 higher education institutions from 115 countries and territories, a record figure that is 2.6 times greater than a decade ago, demonstrating the remarkable increase in research capacity and internationalization in higher education. Notably, 11 Vietnamese higher education institutions have earned a place in THE WUR 2026.
