The DTU Expanded Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science Conference 2025, held on November 1st, attracted a large number of scientists, experts, healthcare professionals, and lecturers from universities, hospitals, and research centers nationwide, including Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Institute of Medicinal Materials, Hanoi Medical College, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue Central Hospital, Binh Duong University, Hong Bang International University, Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Tien Giang General Hospital, National University of Singapore, Vietnam Nephrology Association, Vietnam Neurology Association, and Vietnam Obstetrics and Gynecology Association.

Professor Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice Provost, gave the opening speech at the conference


Professor Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice Provost, said: “In the context of medicine evolving rapidly with the development of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence, we increasingly realize the importance of continuous learning to innovate and integrate. As Albert Einstein once said: ‘The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.’ Today’s conference is a valuable opportunity for us to share knowledge and make progress together. We hope that through the specialized presentations and academic discussions today, new ideas and passionate research findings will be spread, contributing practically to the career of protecting, caring for, and improving public health.”


"This year’s conference is themed 'Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science at DTU in Support of the Politburo's Resolution 57,' which is seen as an important strategic direction for breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation."

This year’s conference attracted nearly 100 scientific papers covering various fields, such as:


-    Clinical medicine, preventive medicine, and public health;
-    Pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical technology.
-    Applied biological sciences, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and genetics.
-    Biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in healthcare.
-    Medical education and training high-quality healthcare human resources.

Many research projects focus on current issues aimed at improving patient care and treatment

 

The papers presented at this year’s conference not only demonstrate the growing research capabilities of domestic scientists but also highlight the strong trend of integration with modern global biomedical science. Many projects focused on current hot topics, such as the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical imaging and treatment support, gene research and stem cell technology in regenerative medicine, the development of new drugs from Vietnam’s natural medicinal resources, and optimizing pharmaceutical formulation processes and quality control, all aimed at improving patient care and treatment.
