



DTU students in the fields of Economics and Management have won numerous awards in intellectual competitions. Previously, DTU students had also won numerous major awards for their research ideas and startup products. Specifically:
- A group of five students won Second prize at the 2023 Startup Incubation Program with their project “Community Tourism of the Co Tu Ethnic Group.”
- Doan Thi Thu Ha won the Women in Business Award at the 2018 “Go Green in the City” competition in Atlanta (USA), Third prize in the 2020 National Startup Competition, Second prize in the 2019 Da Nang Innovation-Startup Idea Contest, and Second prize in the 2019 “Seeding Your Idea” technology startup contest organized by Vintech City and BSSC.
- Phan Van Thinh won Third prize in the 2020 National Startup Competition, the “Best First-time Team” award at the 2020 FDI Moot, and Second prize at the 2019 Da Nang Startup Idea Connection Festival.
- Trish Maguta, an international student at DTU from the Republic of Zimbabwe, won Third prize at the 2018 CDIO Academy Competition and a Consolation prize at the 2019 STR Asia Pacific Student Market Study Competition.
- Frances Summer Dale V. Dy, an international DTU student from the Philippines, excellently won the Grand prize at the 2021 Global Leaders Competition in Vietnam, themed around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.


With its significant contributions to training high-quality human resources in Economics and Management, DTU was chosen to host the 2024 SAP Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) Academic Conference, co-organized by SAP, the APJC Academic Board, the ACC Melbourne Academic Competence Center, and DTU. SAP ERP is currently the world's leading enterprise management software system.

The conference gathered more than 150 professors, PhDs, experts, university lecturers, and researchers from renowned universities such as the University of Melbourne, Victoria, Sydney (Australia), Tsinghua University (China), University of Southern California (USA), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Singapore Management University (SMU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Myongji University (South Korea), Indian Institute of Management, University of Santo Tomas (Philippines), University of Malaya (Malaysia), UNSW Business School (Singapore), and DTU.
The conference covered topics such as:
- Overview of Artificial Intelligence in SAP, innovations and solutions from SAP AI;
- Integrating Signavio with S/4HANA in business process teaching;
- The impact of Artificial Intelligence on audit services of auditing firms;
- SkiPP curriculum: Bridging universities and businesses to enhance students’ SAP proficiency;
For many years, DTU has integrated SAP software into the training of various majors, offering students valuable learning opportunities, especially those in Economics and Management -including Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Finance-Banking.

As of now, DTU’s Economics and Management majors are ranked in the Top 601–800 globally by the World University Rankings by Subject (THE) 2025.
