On June 17, 2025, the Opening Ceremony of the P2A Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2025 was held both online and offline, targeting students from DTU as well as students from ASEAN member countries. This event marks an important milestone, with a record number of participating universities from the ASEAN region, reaching 19 universities. It promises to be the most dynamic and exciting program ever.

Dr. Wiryono Raharjo, Director of P2A in charge of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Vice - Rector for Cooperation and Entrepreneurship at the Islamic University of Indonesia, stated: " It is a great honor to welcome you to the ASEAN Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2025. This event is more than a competition; it is a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and courage to tackle to most pressing challenges of our time. This year’s theme, “Connecting minds, methods, and machines to co-create innovation for global challenges”, could not be more timely as we face the intertwined crises of climate change, resource scarcity, and social inequality, it is clear that no single mind, method or machine can solve these problems alone, but together, across borders, disciplines, and technologies, we can.
The Hackathon is a microcosm of what we can expect in the future: cross-border collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, and ethical innovation. With 12 partners from Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia participating, we are witnessing the spirit of ASEAN in action: young minds uniting to build a greener and This Hackathon is a microcosm of what the future (??): cross-border collaborations, interdisciplinary thinking, and ethical innovation. As part of the program, participanst will participate in workshops on various engaging and practical topics such as Design Thinking, TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving), methods for developing lean startups and new products, and fundraising presentation skills.
The workshops will not only provide theoretical knowledge but also create a real-world experiential environment, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. Through the program, participants will develop an entrepreneurial mindset, laying the foundation for potential startup projects in the future, while also expanding international relationships and learning about startup cultures from peers in different countries.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice Provost and Director of the P2A Secretariat, shared: "Over the years, I have had the opportunity to witness many creative projects and innovative solutions in this entrepreneurship program. It is truly wonderful to see students from different cultures and backgrounds collaborate, solve challenges, and create projects that bring value to our society. I hope the Hackathon will continue to grow stronger. Let’s work together to make the P2A Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2025 a season of transformation and innovation."
