“Being awarded your degree today marks the culmination of a long journey, a journey of effort and perseverance,” DTU Provost Dr Le Nguyen Bao offered heartfelt and sincere words to the graduates in his opening remarks. “Especially in recent years, you’ve faced significant challenges, including the Covid-19 pandemic. As classes then moved online, you had to cope with difficult learning conditions, yet your resilience and unyielding spirit allowed you to patiently continue your studies. You’ve not only overcome physical challenges but also mental ones, challenges requiring patience and self-discipline. Today’s achievement is well-earned and stands as a testament to your persistence and unwavering commitment.

“As you step into the world beyond, you’ll face an ever more rapidly evolving job market where science & technology, and particularly Artificial Intelligence or AI, are opening up new opportunities but also creating new challenges. The fast-paced development of AI is transforming not only how we work but also how we think and approach problems. These technologies not only promise to increase work productivity and improve quality of life, but also pose significant challenges for those preparing to enter the job market. The world is constantly changing, and you must also be flexible, perceptive, and ready to embrace every change. The reality, though, is that only those with a solid knowledge base are able to fully harness and master these advanced technologies. The way we create and command AI reflects our level of understanding and expertise.

“Your journey ahead is still long and will be fraught with obstacles and challenges, but it will also be rich with opportunities. You must remain steadfast and resilient in all situations. No matter the hardship, always remember: you can overcome anything if you believe in yourself, in the power of learning, and in the values you’ve cultivated. The educational values instilled by your families and DTU will be a strong foundation for you to go further and aim higher, and to overcome all challenges in your careers. Believe in the path you’ve chosen, because that’s the one that’ll lead you to your dreams and future success.”

On this occasion, DTU awarded degrees to 2,310 medical doctors, pharmacists, engineers, architects, and bachelors. Among them, 5.67% graduated summa cum laude, and 12.22% magna cum laude. These impressive figures reflect both DTU’s quality of education and the relentless effort by the students throughout their studies. During the graduation ceremony, the university also honored students with outstanding academic achievements, research contributions, and accolades in national and international competitions. The total value of the awards was as high as VND 16.8 billion, underscoring the university’s recognition and encouragement of academic excellence and continuous innovation.

A notable highlight of 2024–2025 is that 91.9% of DTU graduates secured jobs within one year, an increase of nearly 2 percentage points from previous years. This demonstrates the school’s thorough preparation, which equips students with both solid academic foundations and the ability to rapidly adapt and integrate in their work environments.

One of the 52 valedictorians of different majors recognized during the ceremony, Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, valedictorian in Korean Interpretation & Translation, shared her thoughts. “Today, I am deeply honored to represent all DTU graduates in expressing our emotions and our joy at receiving our precious diplomas,” she said. “My four years at DTU were not only filled with acquiring valuable knowledge but also with the practice of soft skills, of adaptability to change, and of overcoming challenges. I sincerely thank our professors for providing us with a strong knowledge foundation and enriching experiences, for guiding us and giving us confidence throughout this journey. Most of all, I want to thank my parents, my greatest motivation whenever I met with difficulties. I wish all graduates of 2025 to always be strong and confident, and to continue your growth on the journey ahead.”

The DTU Bachelor graduation ceremony will continue until June 19, 2025, providing an opportunity for all new medical doctors, pharmacists, engineers, architects, and bachelors, along with their families and friends, to participate and share their joy on this special occasion. This is not only a chance for them to look back on their educational journey but also a new beginning in their careers. May all the graduates go on to achieve great success and contribute meaningfully to the development of society.
