Four-year journey of dedicated practice and creativity

Before shining on the runway of the graduation project show, these young designers underwent hours of presentations before a professional panel with challenging and serious feedback.

Each collection carried a strong personal identity, as the young DTU designers drew inspiration from the beauty of nature, culture, and historical symbols to make creative fashion with artistic value and reflecting Vietnamese or foreign cultures.

Nguyen Le Hien Mai is the valedictorian of Fashion Design class K27, and her evening gown collection Quiet earned her an “outstanding project” prize. “Taking inspiration from the Marasmius haematocephalus mushroom, a rare mushroom with a unique beauty and the ability to regenerate in harsh conditions, I was led to explore new design elements and go beyond the limits of creativity to express the mystery and seductiveness of nature through my collection,” she explains.

“Studying fashion design at DTU for four years brought me a lot of joy and inspiration. The friendly academic environment, modern facilities, and experienced lecturers allowed me to develop and hone my knowledge, skills, and creative perspective. I also participated in many projects and competitions to prove my abilities and establish my personal style.”
