After four years of dedicated study and knowledge accumulation, the graduation project defense is not merely the final step of training for the students of Multimedia Communications, but a major milestone showcasing their professional maturity, creative thinking, and individual confidence. Structured as an academic competition among eleven teams, each project was the students’ brainchild, nurtured with passion, cared for with skill, and inspired by the distinct perspectives of young people facing real-world issues.

The graduation projects were supervised by MSc Nguyen Ngoc Hanh My, who was not just a lecturer for the students, but also their companion and their inspiration throughout their journeys of learning and creativity. Additionally, to evaluate the projects by the class-K27 students of Multimedia Communications and to provide feedback for further completion, a jury of industry experts participated:

-    MSc Tran Thi Le Chi, master of ceremonies, CEO of Rong Tien Sa Media, and standing committee member of the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association,

-    Mr Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy CEO of SAFURCO JSC,
-    Mr Ha Nhat Duy Khanh, Regional Development Director at Henry Nguyen.

The presence of businesses added real-world relevance to the defense and provided the students a valuable opportunity to connect with professional reality - a critical bridge between university and job market.

Each group had thirty minutes to present their project in three parts:

-    general overview of the project,
-    product demo, and
-    Q&A with the jury.

K27 students of Multimedia Communication concluded their academic journey at DTU with a brilliant “Journey to the Finish”

More than a chance to showcase their skills, the event offered the students a forum to affirm their individuality, creative abilities, and strategic thinking. The jury praised the thorough preparation, innovative ideas, and professional execution demonstrated by the teams. Of note, the feedback from the jury went beyond technical evaluation as they proposed potential development directions, which will help the students refine their products academically and commercially.

The projects this year were judged significantly better, clearly reflecting the young students’ eagerness to learn, their creativity, and their desire for self-affirmation. Each project gave a complete media product, from brand-building, image design, and marketing strategy to actual product demos, demonstrating that the students not only mastered theoretical knowledge but also knew how to apply it effectively in practice.

The jury awarded prizes to the following outstanding teams:

-    first prize: team Flow with their brand-building project for Bao Minh Confectionery JSC,
-    second prize: teams Dam Da (Golden Star balm) and Alibaba (Thuong Dinh),
-    third prize: teams Ot Sim (Cholimex), Sunset (Phan Nu Hoang Cung), and SSS (Thorakao).

In addition, the teams Flow and Alibaba outstandingly won special prizes from the company Henry Nguyen and received invitations for future exchange and collaboration in upcoming media projects - a crucial stepping stone opening the door on their professional careers right after graduation.

“We share a passion for culture and art, and especially for packaging designs imbued with Vietnamese identity,” Ho Phan Phi Anh, a student in the team Flow (first prize), explained. “When we discovered Bao Minh confectionery - a brand from our childhood memories which was in the process of rebranding - we saw it as a perfect opportunity to combine our design strengths with honoring a Vietnamese brand.

“Our communication campaign ‘Brand new look, same beloved taste’ was built around three phases: raising awareness of the new eco-friendly packaging; creating emotional experiences through pop-up events and collaboration with the TV program As if we were never apart; and finally spreading the message by compiling meaningful moments and sustainable communication.

“The project gave us many sleepless nights and seemingly endless revisions. But when we were called during the proclamation, all that hardship turned into overwhelming joy. Those thirty minutes on stage were the crystallization of four years of study, and today’s victory is testament to the effort and faith we kept alive throughout our time at DTU.”

“K27 Journey to the Finish” was more than a graduation project defense; it was a celebration of maturity and marked the moment the students stepped out of the classroom and into the professional world, armed with confidence, knowledge, and a strong belief in themselves. Every product, every presentation, was living proof of their relentless efforts and their transformation from theory into practice, from learning into action. And above all, it was a bold declaration of youth: dare to think, dare to do, and dare to reach for your dreams.

The defense has come to an end, but the “Journey to the Finish” for class K27 is just beginning. With the solid foundation they have built, the young people of DTU class K27 in Multimedia Communications are certain to continue writing their story with achievements to be proud of.
