On the afternoon of April 20, 2025, the DTU Student of Five Merits Club hosted the talk show “English Breakthrough: Preparing for Student of Five Merits” at Auditorium 105, Building G, 120 Hoang Minh Thao, to exchange ideas and address questions on the criteria for the title of Student of Five Merits.

To become a Student of Five Merits, young people not only need to excel in learning and studying, but they also need to master various skills, English being the key that opens the door to success.
During the talk show, speaker Tran Ngoc Thanh Doan, member of the DTU Youth Union executive committee, provided the students with guidance on personal growth plans, from participation in clubs and event organization to taking advantage of international exchange opportunities, to fulfill the five criteria: ethics, academic performance, physical fitness, volunteer spirit, and integration. Thanh Doan also answered many questions regarding the Student of Five Merits application process.
The talk show became livelier through fun games
The event also featured participation from MB education & training LLC. MA Bien Hoang Thach, English lecturer and Director of MB, gave the students a better understanding of the importance of English in everyday life and the advantages it provides in the job search after graduation. He also taught students how to master proper English pronunciation rules and improve their speaking intonation.

The atmosphere at the talk show became even livelier through fun games cleverly incorporating English knowledge, aiming to increase student interaction and build confidence in their English abilities.
The program provided a space where students could practice their English and was as a source of motivation, companionship, and valuable lessons to motivate them to continue their efforts and break through on their journey to earning the title of Student of Five Merits.
