The Dongry Corporation team is one of the top three teams selected to participate in the global final, the SAP ERPsim International Competition 2025, scheduled to take place in June.
A platform for business management talents
SAP ERPsim 2025 is organized by SAP (based in Melbourne, Asia), HEC Montreal, and SAP University Model (SAP University). This event serves as an ideal platform for talented students to challenge their business management skills on the ERP platform, a tool that is increasingly used in optimizing business management and operations.
The competition attracted prestigious universities from South Korea, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, China, and Vietnam. Competing teams faced tough challenges related to finance, production, business environment, and sustainable development.
The SAP ERPsim Student Competition 2025 - APJ Cup finals in Asia saw teams from four Vietnamese universities: DTU, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, International University - Vietnam National University HCMC, and International Training Institute - University of Economics HCMC. It also featured teams from leading universities across Asia, including the University of Melbourne (Australia), Yonam Institute of Technology (South Korea), Universitas Islam Indonesia (Indonesia), and Multimedia University Cyberjaya (Malaysia).
In the competition, teams used the SAP S/4HANA platform to manage a virtual company in a competitive market. To perform well, teams needed to master business management processes, the structure of SAP's ERP system, and practical operations on the SAP ERP system.
A Business management challenge
The competition, held online, was a simulation game focused on sustainable business management, using SAP S/4HANA. The evaluation criteria included Financial efficiency, Production-distribution strategy, and the Ability to manage carbon emissions.
Teams managed a company producing and distributing breakfast cereals (Muesli) with 12 different product lines. What made this special was starting from scratch -no inventory and no supply chain.
Teams had to build the entire business process - from strategic planning, purchasing, production, product formula development, accounting, finance, logistics, distribution, and sales.
Throughout the competition, teams faced random disruptions and had to solve the "carbon emissions" problem, a critical factor influencing profits as consumers increasingly prioritize "green," environmentally friendly companies.

The Dongry Corporation team demonstrated exceptional ERP system management skills, while also showcasing sharp strategies and effective teamwork. The team not only optimized the production process but also overcame challenging financial and business environment obstacles.
Team leader Tran Dinh Tan Phat from the DTU SouthStar Management Institute shared: "I find it a great honor to represent DTU at this major competition and win the championship. Throughout the competition, DongRy Corporation faced many tough challenges, especially getting familiar with the ERP system and developing a strategic approach every minute.
However, thanks to the knowledge we have gained over the years and our strong team spirit, the team overcame challenges, performed effectively, and achieve victory. As we approach the upcoming global competition, we will turn the pressure into motivation, preparing thoroughly to achieve the best results, contributing to showcasing the images of Vietnamese students as confident and intelligent competitors on the global arena."
