Thousands of Young Technology Enthusiasts in Da Nang attend the AI and Blockchain Festival

The DevDay 2025 was held in Da Nang on April 12th, attracting thousands of experts, businesses, and young technology enthusiasts.

 

With the theme "Tech Fusion," DevDay 2025 brought together the most advanced technology trends, from artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cybersecurity, cloud computing, to many other breakthrough fields.

The event featured 18 technology exhibition booths, showcasing innovative products and solutions from leading companies. Thousands of young people gathered in front of the booths to explore advanced technologies. Nguyen Minh Hoang, a DTU student, shared, "I'm very excited about this event because it gives me the opportunity to learn more about AI, Blockchain, Big Data, Cloud, IoT..."

According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, the city's IT sector has experienced rapid and sustainable growth, becoming one of the key economic sectors. The total revenue of the sector in 2024 is estimated to reach 39,888 billion VND, an increase of 9.07% compared to 2023. The software export turnover is expected to reach 165 million USD in 2024, an increase of 11.6%. Notably, the digital economy in Da Nang contributes about 24% to the city's GRDP structure. "DevDay has become a valuable platform where experts, researchers, students, and technology enthusiasts can connect and exchange the latest ideas and knowledge about the technology trends shaping the future, while also providing career guidance for the promising IT students of the next generation," Mr. Thach remarked.

Participants lined up in long queues in front of the booths showcasing technology products. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect the IT community, expanding the network of cooperation between experts, businesses, lecturers, students, and technology organizations both locally and internationally.

Students were able to engage in discussions and learn from technology companies. According to them, this event also served as an opportunity to identify career paths and future directions.

As part of the program, there were over 30 specialized workshops, gathering 40 leading speakers from both within and outside the country, who shared insights and practical experiences on the technology fields that are shaping the future. The workshop topics covered areas such as: Innovation with Artificial Intelligence - Promoting Software Development and Industry Transformation; Web3 in Vietnam - Pioneering Decentralized Solutions for a Connected Future; Building the Tech Companies of Tomorrow - Startups at the Intersection of AI and Web3.

Dinh Van Nhan, a DTU student majoring in Cybersecurity, shared: "I am very excited to join this event, especially the workshops related to AI, which is a field I am very interested in. This is also an opportunity for me to expand my knowledge and learn about the latest technology trends."

The discussion sessions were moderated by technology experts

 

According to the young participants, in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, if one does not update and apply technology, they will fall behind and miss out on job opportunities.

 

"Nowadays, almost every field uses technology and AI to manage and operate more effectively. To avoid feeling overwhelmed after graduation, I have studied and researched a lot. Today's event also helped me gain a clearer understanding of current products and how technology is being applied," Anh Thu, a third-year student, said.
