The signing of a collaboration agreement between DTU and the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation on December 19, 2024 has opened promising study abroad opportunities for DTU students. Outstanding recipients of the Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship will have the opportunity to experience world-class education at top universities in South Korea, broadentheir knowledge, and confidently develop themselves in an international environment.

Aiming at providing students access to advanced education and fostering their skills in an international environment, starting in 2025, the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation officially launches its Global Scholarship Program for outstanding students in Vietnam. Notably, only three universities have been selected to participate in this prestigious program, including Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and Duy Tan University. The program offers Vietnamese students the opportunity to study at at one of the four prestigious universities in South Korea, including Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University, and Hanyang University.
Study abroad opportunities for outstanding DTU students
Each Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship is valued at up to 25 million KRW (approximately 420 million VND), ensuring that students can study in an international academic setting. Specifically, recipients will receive:
- 100% tuition coverage (including two full-time semesters and an annual winter program),
- A monthly stipend of 1 million KRW for living expenses,
- An initial support grant of 2.5 million KRW to help students settle in South Korea,
- Credit transfer back to DTU for equivalent courses.

The scholarship program applies to the following disciplines: Business & Economics, Future Industries (Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Bio-Health, Energy, etc.), Korean Language Studies and International Relations.

- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0,
- Proficiency in one of the following languages:
o TOEFL 79+,
o IELTS 6.5+,
o TOPIK Level 4+.
