On January 3, 2025, DTU signed a Partnership Agreement with Duy Anh Fashion and Cosmetics Joint Stock Company (DAFC), a subsidiary of the Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG). The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thuan Dat, CEO of DAFC; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Huong, M.A., Director of UBTECH Vietnam; Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice - Provost; along with representatives from both organizations and DTU students.
The partnership agreement aims to establish a Training and Research Center for the Development of Educational Solutions Programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. This collaboration emphasizes the development of teaching curricula, joint research efforts, and the establishment of an advanced AI LAB system. It also aims to implement AI educational solutions to meet market demands both within and outside Da Nang.

CEO of DAFC, Mr. Nguyen Thuan Dat, said: “We are impressed by DTU ’s vision and mission of becoming an educational corporation with a strong focus on entrepreneurship. This aligns perfectly with the developmental direction DAFC is pursuing. Both parties have agreed to establish the AI Hub in Da Nang, aiming not only to serve DTU faculty and students but also to become the first AI center in Da Nang and the central region. This center will disseminate AI knowledge to all students in the region. Today’s MoU signing between DAFC and DTU aims to strengthen the partnership between the two sides and create a significant ripple effect across the central region, contributing to the advancement of education in Vietnam.”

Specifically, under the partnership agreement, DTU and DAFC will collaborate to develop and implement the AI-Robotics Instructor Training Program, aimed at enhancing teaching and research capabilities for DTU students and faculty. DAFC will provide consultation and transfer training and research equipment, including teaching robots and accompanying curricula, to meet the university's training needs. Additionally, DAFC will be responsible for facilitating technology and material transfers among the three parties: UBTECH, DAFC, and DTU, to promote the development of AI-Robotics educational solutions.
