DTU was the second university in Vietnam to have programs accredited by ABET receive ABET accreditation, after the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2014. The ABET evaluation team visits universities to assess programs based on criteria such as students, student outcomes, curriculum, and faculty.
