Brigade 146 partners with DTU

On November 9, a partnership ceremony between Brigade 146, Naval Region 4, and DTU took place. 

 

Colonel Do Hai Dang, Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 146 opined that the collaboration would strengthen the spirit of solidarity between the military personnel and civilians of the brigade and the university.

Colonel Do Hai Dang, Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 146, hopes that the brigade

and the university will raise awareness and consciousness of the need to protect the sovereignty of the nation.

 

The brigade and the university will educate officers, soldiers, lecturers, and students about the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Naval Force, and the heroic Spratly Regiment, and promote patriotism and adherence to the Party’s guidelines and policies.


The brigade and the university will visit and support policy families and outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds, contribute resources and funding for information development, and improve the material and spiritual well-being of the military personnel and civilians in the Spratly Island. Cultural exchanges, arts events, and sports activities will also be held.


"The brigade and the university should maintain regular contact and share information, especially on maritime and island territories like the Spratly Islands, to help everyone appreciate the importance of protecting our sovereignty over sea and islands," Colonel Dang emphasized.

DTU shared that, in recent years, the university has carried out many meaningful initiatives supporting the nation’s islands and seas. These include raising over 200 million VND for officers and soldiers stationed in the Spratly Islands district, presenting gifts to Brigade 146, launching SMS campaigns to assist fishermen in the Paracel and Spratly Islands, and organizing musical performances celebrating the homeland’s islands and seas. The university also proudly received a national flag from officers and soldiers stationed on Phan Vinh Island in the Spratly Islands.
