The Healthcare Sector will focus on the Development of Artificial Intelligence

The Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Training at the Ministry of Health stated that the technological development orientation for the healthcare sector will focus on developing artificial intelligence. 

 

On September 28th, at the 2024 DTU Expanded Medical Science Conference in Da Nang, Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang, Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Training at the Ministry of Health, said that the healthcare sector’s technological development plan for 2025-2030 will focus on fields related to biology, new technologies development, particularly non-invasive technologies.

 

"One of the areas that the healthcare sector will focus on in the near future is the application of IT, particularly issues related to artificial intelligence in the healthcare field," Mr. Quang said.

The 2024 DTU Expanded Medical Science Conference entitled “ High-Tech Medicine in the New Era" to discuss advancements in technology and update knowledge in the fields of Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, and Public Health in the digital age. This initiative aims to improve patient treatment, manage and control quality in diagnosis and treatment, and develop new drugs.

 

At the conference, experts, professors, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, researchers, lecturers, and managers from various universities, hospitals, research institutes, and healthcare facilities nationwide present reports and engage in discussions.

Scientific topics focus on endocrinology, diabetes, emergency resuscitation, reconstructive surgery, cardiology, diagnostics, dentistry, pharmacology, nursing, public health, biology, and biomedical sciences. Topics such as essential foundations for managing diabetic polyneuropathy, training the body’s defense system, and updated treatments for hypertension were discussed at the conference.

 

The DTU Expanded Medical Science Conference 2024 presents an opportunity to advance science and develop future-oriented scientific strategies.
