On July 10, 2024, the DTU School of Technology organized its first Teaching Method Innovation Workshop. The workshop was attended by the School's Board of Directors, leaders of various departments, and a large number of lecturers and teaching assistants.

A large number of lecturers and teaching assistants attended the workshop

Addressing the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Vu Duong - Vice Rector of the School of Technology stated: "The School of Technology is one of the 7 training schools of Duy Tan University with the important mission of enhancing the quality of education, offering advanced programs to students alongside promoting scientific research. Contributing to the implementation of high-quality teaching activities, there is a need for educational exchanges and continuous improvements in teaching methods, especially in the current context where many technological applications can be applied to enhance teaching efficiency. With the participation of faculty members from the School of Technology and some from other schools such as the International Training School, School of Medicine,... we see active interest from lecturers. This encourages us to maintain and make the workshop an annual event, as it provides lecturers with a beneficial platform for exchanging, learning, and honing teaching skills."

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Man - Vice Rector of the International School, a guest at the workshop, shared the application of AI in teaching activities

At the workshop, speakers presented new directions in teaching methods at the DTU School of Technology, such as: Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support and enhance creativity in teaching activities; Developing a modern online training platform with integrated smart learning features. In addition, the speakers also proposed new methods for assessing processes in CDIO courses in the Electrical - Electronics Department such as: Applying the CDIO method (Construct - Design - Implement - Operate) to improve the assessment of students' learning processes. Establishing evaluation criteria to enhance practicality and integrate practical skills; Integrating simulation technology into Automotive Engineering training; Proposing a model to integrate Green Growth content into CDIO in engineering training.

Furthermore, other reports also addressed the innovation of guidance methods for Graduation Projects in Civil & Industrial Construction disciplines towards practical approaches, as well as the role of "sketching" in interior design processes or integrating simulation technology into Automotive Engineering training.

The First Teaching Method Innovation Workshop of the DTU School of Technology opened up new avenues in teaching and training. The conference not only contributes to improving the quality of education but also helps students better prepare for the future.
