Ms. Phan Dieu Linh, the TotalEnergies Vietnam Human Resources Manager said: “Careful preparation is vital before applying for a position in any company. Firstly, you should visit the company’s website and research information about the workplace, the job description and the recruiter. Next, compose your CV to accentuate your academic achievements and strengths in a natural and coherent way and prove how your skills and experience clearly fit the job description. Then, practice answering a sample of general and specific skills-based interview questions, to boost your self-confidence during the actual interview.”

Ms. Linh then listed some of the most common interview questions, such as: “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”, “Why do you want to work for us?”, “Name three adjectives that describe you?”, “Do you prefer working independently or in a team?” and “Why should we hire you?”.
