“DTU now enters the second phase of education accreditation,” Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Phuong Nga said at the  opening ceremony. “From the first to the second phase, five years passed, and according to our preliminary sensory evaluation, DTU made great progress. This assessment is based on the university’s achievements enjoying recognition from society through scientific publications and the positions it attained in prestigious world rankings. In five years, DTU changed a lot, but our main impression concerns the changes in the university’s infrastructure. Besides the changes one can perceive with the senses, the External Evaluation delegation will perform an objective and fair survey and assessment in accordance with processes, regulations, procedures, and standards. The published results of the External Evaluation will show a more comprehensive picture of the university and of how big and strong its changes and developments are.”

Dr Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice - Provost, giving a report on the general status of DTU from 2017 to 2022

This official survey for the External Evaluation at DTU will take from June 26 to July 2. Throughout this time the External Evaluation delegation will study DTU’s supporting documents, interview the university leadership, staff, lecturers, and students, and visit DTU’s infrastructure.

After the previous official survey for the Education Institution External Evaluation at DTU in December 2016, in which the External Evaluation delegation judged the school met 52 out of 61 required criteria or 85.25%, the Council for Education Accreditation voted unanimously to officially recognize DTU as meeting Vietnam’s education quality criteria. DTU’s result in that survey is also the highest among all universities (public or private) that passed accreditation in Central Vietnam at the time.
