On May 12, DTU’s Vietnam-Japan Institute and the Quy Khanh Training and Consultancy Company ltd. held a Career Orientation Seminar and the first interviews for the Japan Internship Program. 29 out of 40 students who applied to the Japan internship program participated in the interview.

Quy Khanh Training and Consultancy Company ltd. is currently the representative in Vietnam of the International Foundation of Educational and Medical Exchange (IFEME), the Japan Internship Support Association (JISA), and Sewing Box Co., Ltd to implement the internship program for DTU students in 2022-2024.
The internship program, approved by the Japanese government, allows businesses to recruit students from Vietnamese universities to go to Japan for their internships. The purpose of this program is to allow students to experience a professional working environment at companies and factories and find permanent jobs in Japan.
The objectives of the internship program are to:
+ improve professional qualifications to Japanese standards
+ improve Japanese language skills of students who want to work in Japan
+ guarantee job for participants after completing the program
Eligible applicants:
+ third-year and fourth-year students majoring in Nursing, Hospitality, Construction, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Logistics, Chemistry, Mechanics, Environment, and Automotive Manufacturing and Maintenance.
+ Understand the purpose of the program and wish to intern in Japan
+ Have the university’s permission to participate in the internship program in Japan and have their credits recognized
+ Have good health and don’t have infectious diseases.
Internship Schedule:
+ 8-hour-per-day internship
+ one-hour break a day
+ two days off a week
Interns will be supported to
+ study Japanese during their internship
+ get an allowance of 70.000 ¥ per month (14,000,000 VND)

In the future, DTU’s Vietnam-Japan Institute will work with Japanese partners to identify the companies recruiting interns in Japan and announce the list of students who meet the standards of the first interviews for the Japan internship program.
