On March 10th, DTU signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort, to enhance the quality of training and contribute to the development of human resources in the Hospitality industry. The MoU is a first step towards broader collaborative activities in the near future.
Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort
Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort, designed by the Spanish architect Salvador Perez Arroyo, opened in August 2020. It is part of Accor, a world-leading augmented hospitality group offering unique experiences in more than 5,000 hotels and residences across 110 countries. Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort offers 332 sophisticated rooms, suites, cabanas and a villa, ideal for business travellers, couples, and families with children. 291 rooms and 11 beach front villas are equipped with a private infinity pool, multiple bedrooms, large, luxurious living rooms, a dining room and a kitchenette.
The signing
Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort and DTU have signed a memorandum of understanding which offers internship opportunities at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort for DTU students of Hospitality. Specifically, Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort will:
- teach practical subjects: food and beverage service, reception and room service, and award DTU students with certificates of completion,
- provide students with an internship environment and evaluate their internship experiences,
- coordinate with DTU to hold seminars, workshops, specialized talk shows, and field trips for DTU students to discover the actual issues and concerns of professional work.
While the Hopspitality industry nationwide is making a positive recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, the collaboration between the two partners promises to bring even more programs and activities in support of high-quality and effective education, motivating young people to strive and practice to soon be ready to contribute to a strong development of the industry.
